Epic - Guerriers Tzacol

Après un "long" silence, Onslaught Miniatures a recommencé à partager des previews de ses prochaines figurines. Il faut dire que le patron (et unique membre) de la boite a beaucoup à faire puisqu'il vient de mettre en pré-vente sa gamme Stygian (des Eldars Noirs en gros) comme on peut le voir sur le site officiel.

Mais force est d'avouer que j'attends surtout d'en savoir plus sur la nouvelle faction en préparation : Tzacol (ça se prononce Tah-Coal), des hommes-lézards de l'espace.

Un nouveau WIP des guerriers Tzacol a été publié par Onslaught Miniatures. C'est assez particulier mais j'aime beaucoup...

Un point intéressant est que Deacon semble vouloir mettre un point d'honneur à développer le fluff de cette faction. On voit clairement une évolution dans sa façon de concevoir ses figurines, il cherche à leur donner une âme et à ne pas se contenter de fournir du bête count as pour Epic.

Petit exemple avec une description des armes utilisées par ces guerriers :

"The idea behind the weapon is that it "fires" a beam of temporal energy - which "warps" what it passes through a fraction of a second into the past. While it has little effect on stationary or slowly moving targets, it has dramatic effects on anything that is moving quickly.

A charging enemy will suddenly find a circular plug bore straight though their mass - giving them just enough time to see a quivering chunk of themselves a few paces behind them before collapsing.

In close combat, the temporal effect can be focused into a continuous "field" around the head of the weapon which produces the same time-warping effect on anything it passes through.

The effect of the weapon depends on the speed of its target rather than brute power or the targets armor.

Without the powerful influence of a nearby Elder - these weapons become little more than ornate clubs until they are recharged with temporal energies."
